As much as I love this Port, I also hate it. Just reached the end in my Stream today, but Jashin was so riddiculously hard I couldn't even beat him (yet). And I also found something strange that Level 2 and the Last level had some strange slow downs like pretty ugly FPS drop, but the rest of the levels had no problems at all. Aside of these, the Music is the work of a true Master in my oppinion and I ABSOLUTELLY LOVED it!!! So overall it's a great port, and yes we are talking Ninja Gaiden here so ofc it's challenging, but I think some stuff is a bit of an overkill. Hoping to see the other 2 Games being remade by your hand like this haha EXCELLENT WORK! <3

I'm glad you liked it, especially the music, as I spent a while on that. I'm not sure why level 2 has those lag issues. It's kind of always been that way for reasons I've never figured out. The last level, though, being as big as it is, I knew about those issues, I just never tried to optimize the engine to fix them. I wasn't all that good at programming when I made this.

As for the difficulty, I don't think Jashin is all that much harder than the previous two bosses. There's actually a safe zone in his fight where you can get a lot of hits on him once you kill the tail, but I won't reveal more. Just know that with everything, there's usually a trick to do it easily if you look closely.

I don't intend to remake the other two games, since after finishing this I started focusing my game development efforts on original games. I do encourage you to check out the other games on my page, though. If you liked this one, you'll probably find that you'll like those, too. (I also just don't think there's much I can do with NG2 or NG3 that would actually improve the game, since I like those games a lot.)

Thanks for playing!

Haha yes my friend I LOVE it! And now I see why it happend, and yes after a little training I found some safe points to fight Jashin so maybe next time I'll beat him. I will surely check out your other games too! Keep working on these Legends my friend you ROCK! <3

Man, this is awesome! It would be pretty neat if you did this for the entire trilogy someday. Sucks that I just now found out about this.

So for everyone who's played this game (or at least listened to the soundtrack), what's your favorite song?

I came here to say that my favorite song is the Demon Castle song, after the railway area. I love it!

This is probably my last attempt to make it lower for now.
If i got deathless during stage 1 to 6 minus 6-3 checkpoint death. I could get lower than this.

25:50? That's a super impressive time, nice job. I don't even know if I can beat the game in that time.

and Cleaner Masked Devil boss fight. Because i messed up this one :(

Well, I improved it.

It's been very cool watching you speedrun this and use techniques I never thought of or found. I'm glad you're still having fun with the game!

Thanks!.

The only thing why i want to play it again is because no one speed running it so i might do it on my own.
Another thing is the soundtrack you made.
It's pretty much the best remake for both version.

Hey it's been a while.
I decide to speed run this game and got 40:48. Maybe i could improve it later.

Made a full playthrough of this game.

I am still struggle beating Ninja gaiden tbh but i have some experience with Ninja Gaiden 3 which is easier because i played the japanese version of ninja gaiden 3(The english version has increased difficulty which i beat after i am done with japanese one).

And about the first ninja gaiden, I ever beat it but with save states since i have issue with the enemy respawn infinitely.

What i am impressed the most is how you redesign the last boss. While it's still hard, The demon head who originally just ran and unavoidable now bring a call from the earlier boss you just beaten in this game.

Another thing i am impressed is all boss are now have invicibility time when get hit. This give me feel when playing Ninja Gaiden on Master System or Mega Man

Overall it's 9.5/10 for me.

Yeah, I never actually beat NG1 myself (without using an infinite health Game Genie code). I'm glad you enjoyed my version so much, and thanks for making a video!

Despite that, It's still difficult and the final boss can't be beaten easily, I found out destroying the tail will make jashin teleport, But if you don't it will stand there, It has advantage but seeing how much damage you have to endure against the tail that now spawn fire and invincibility frame mechanic make the strat much difficult to perform.

The original final stage is simple but in this version, You made it much longer by making the stage require like 3 rooms to enter the boss.

And each room has their own gimmicks. Like the wind mechanic from NG2 and some stuff.

This reimagining is brilliant, especially the remixes!

Thanks! I appreciate it.

Thanks for making a video on it!

Very dope game! really enjoyed it.
Was expecting it to be harder than the nes one but it turned out to be easier, but a bit longer. 9/10

Thanks for playing!
